Taipei Metro is a fantastic system. It is not expensive at all and fairly efficient.
However, I have a small complaint.
For a person who is not familiar with the system and needs to quickly plan his routes upon walking into the station, it can be frustrating.
In many of the stations, there are no system maps like this (available from Taipei Metro website).
I have tried many times, in various stations, to find this map and failed. Worse, sometimes it is also impossible to find this map even inside the station.
On the platform, there is only route for the particular line utilizing that particular platform.
I wonder what is the supposed way for a passenger to plan his route? Using phones to log on to their webisite?
